The trail n.5 has been realized recently, for the occasion of the consolidation works of the Marmore cliff, after that, during the 70s and 80s landslides did. These works, beyond making safe the east side of the cliff, offers also the possibility to see many industrial archaeological witnesses, among these also the basins for the picking of the ancient hydroelectric power plants of Spoleto.
The trail has a flat ground for about one kilometres, with features similar to the pubblic park (therefore with different kind of mountain track). Expanding on the cliff of Marmore, offers suggestive landscape. In the first tract we can see Terni ; going on, the perspective changes, opening in the Nerina valley with its river that crosses it and also different medeival villages with throats of Ferentillo. Along the route we meet 11 artificial wells for the consolidation works. The first, thanks to the glass cover, disclose its impressive deep.
In the final tract the sight sweeps on the Lower Outlook and in the second and third drops of the Falls. A short route that starts before the rotue n.5 leads to the ancient Cava Curiana and land bridge. Thanks to the help of the skilled guides, moreover, it is possible to visit some of the most beautiful and important caves underground of the area of Marmore, all of these are inside the route n.5, from whom we can't see an excellent view of the Falls.
