Christmas parties in the medieval village of Arrone
The mayor Fioretti, the culture aldermanship Orsini but above all there are the representatives of the associations in Arrone, this beautiful medieval village (3 kilometres from Marmore Falls) that records a high number of organizations for the territory promotion.
The occasion is the presentation of the programme about the events linked to the Christmas parties. The first is the “bell-ringers group”. In August the “first national bell-ringers meeting” was on the national Italian TV Rai Uno. Now it will be the possibility to become the capital of the bell-ring art.
On 10th December at 9.00p.m. the ancient bells of the St. John church ring with the other bell tower of Italy to celebrate the Chart of human rights signed in Paris on 10th December 1948 by ONU countries. From north to south many associations took part to this event: from Emilia to Marche, from Triveneto to Abruzzo: even Nola where the tradition of the ringing points out the rhythms of the religious life. Live on Rai Uno Radio at 8.30p.m. in the national programme Zapping. On 13rd December the “Musicians for Human Rights” (an ensemble appreciates in all over the world) exhibits in concert on the human rights by the S. Maria Assunta church.
Other events on the 2nd and 3rd January with the exhibition of local artists, the concert of “Sonidumbria” and the performance of the “little chorus of the bell-ringers” . They opened now a school for children. The patronage of the municipality, beyond the events on the human rights, proposes also a traditional calendar. “Arrone… under the comet” is the programme of the administration. There is also the living Christmas crib recognized like one of the most beautiful in Umbria. On 26th and 27th December, on the 1st-6th January are the dates of the representations, exhibited with local figures in the ancient place of the village (at 5.00p.m.). But on 10th December the round table on the “Italian Constitution in the multi-cultural world”, on 20th December the aperitif concert of the “Naharti polyphonic chorus” in Castel di Lago, on 26th December the concert of Christmas in the S. Maria Assunta church and on the 27th , in the same church, the performance of the municipal school of music. Until 5th January the “the Naharti chorus”. From20th to 27th December local artists will exhibits in the S. Maria Assunta church.
