The Falls, one of the symbol in the Copenaghen environmental summit

Maybe not all the 192 delegations, the 45 heads of state, 15 hundred thousand accredited people or 5 hundred thousand journalists who were in the Copenaghen environmental summit probably saw the Marmore Falls. It was in the centre of a postcard that the Italian league for the environment protection gave to the convention that took place in the Danish capital the 7th  and the 8th December 2009. In front of the Fall a great line where you could write : “stop to the fever of the planet”. 

The first of December, in fact, a border raid of the Terni League for the environmental protection agreed with the institutions and the management of the tourist services of the area (the enterprise associations 165 Marmore Falls), allowed to realize a photo services used for the postcard sent to Copenaghen to start a series of initiatives in the Italian territory. A complicated work, above all for the position of the line that was possible thanks to the excursion guides. It was important for the tourist promotion and also for the struggle in favour of the environmental protection.

After the escursion to the Falls, the League for the environmental protection doesn’t stop. Together with other associations hang the line “stop the fever of the planet”. Many symbol places of the Umbrian cities; then on 12th December was in the square with stands, banquets for the occasion of the initiative “the 100 square for the climate”; at the end on 18th December organized the “cheer up for the climate”, always in the historical centre of the main cities. The exhibitions were also in other Italian regions.
